Sponsor | waltcat | Apr 26, 9:43pm | | Just got back from another trip to Ireland, and decided to fly the local airline from Chicago and back. Big mistake. Love Ireland, didn't love Aer Lingus. Many problems, old equipment, and not organized. Did I just have a unique experience, or is this the way they are normally? Anyone have an opinion? |

However they are a low cost airline any despite the strong euro can effectively compete price-wise with many of the American and British carriers which would dominate those routes.
So the best strategy is to bring an iPod, good pair of noise canceling headphones and decent book and a few magazines. Irish carriers tend to have a bad rep with service and other luxuries. Simply because they are all very low cost.
